We have particular expertise in the following areas: canine and feline cardio-respiratory diagnostics and management, abdominal ultrasonography and endoscopy.
As the referring veterinary surgeon, you will receive a written summary of the clinical findings, and where appropriate, suggestions for further tests or treatment. You will remain responsible for the ongoing care of the patient, but you are free to contact us for further guidance. If we have reached the limitations of our expertise and services, we will try to point you in the right direction for further management.
We usually sedate all cats, and some dogs for echocardiographic examination. We usually sedate all dogs and cats for abdominal ultrasonography. This is for the purposes of patient comfort and image optimisation. Endoscopic procedures are performed under general anaesthesia.
Our aim is to help out as best we can, and provide a friendly, affordable and pragmatic service to both you and your clients.
We are able to diagnose and treat a wide variety of heart and lung problems in dogs and cats. We will do our very best to help out with any case.

What we can do:
- Digital cytology (Scopiovet Link)
- Surgical diode laser therapy
- Mechanical ventilation (short term only)
- Coagulation analysis (PT & aPTT).
What we cant do: We cannot accept cases referred directly from pet owners – cases must be referred to us through a veterinary surgeon.
We do not have routine on site facilities for continuous overnight care. This can be arranged on a case by case basis if necessary.
What we can do:
We are one of a handful of clinics within Scotland to offer digital cytology for our patients. In most practices, cellular biopsy samples need to be sent to an external laboratory for analysis. It can take several days to get the answers.
DIGITAL CYTOLOGY MEANS THAT THE PATHOLOGIST CAN REMOTELY EXAMINE THESE SAMPLES, AND GIVE US THE ANSWERS IN A MATTER OF HOURS!
This can make a real difference to our patients, and means that long waits for results can be avoided.
